Editorial Policy

This page describes how GitHub Reporter selects sources, generates content using AI, and maintains quality standards through human review.

Source Selection

We discover trending repositories through the GitHub API, focusing on repositories that show signs of active development, community interest, and practical utility. Our selection criteria include recent activity, star growth, and relevance to developers.

AI Content Generation

Content is generated using DeepSeek AI, which analyzes repository metadata, documentation, and recent releases to produce structured summaries. AI generation is a starting point — not the final product.

Human Review Process

Every AI-generated draft is reviewed by a human editor before publishing. Our review process includes:

  • Information Gain Check: Does this post provide value beyond what a developer could find by reading the README directly?
  • Factual Accuracy Spot-Check: We verify at least three factual claims per post against the source repository.
  • Originality Assessment: Does the post offer genuine insights, comparisons, or analysis — not just reformatted documentation?

Corrections Policy

If you notice an error in any published post, please contact us. We take accuracy seriously and will correct verified errors promptly. Corrections are noted with a clear indication of what was changed and when.
